GIST University South Korea Scholarship 2025 (Fully Funded)
The Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) is now accepting applications for the Fall 2025 intake. The GIST University South Korea Scholarship is a fully funded program available for Master’s, Ph.D., and Integrated M.S./Ph.D. degrees. This scholarship is open to international students from all countries.
Unlike many South Korean universities such as KAIST and UST, GIST does not charge an application fee. All admitted international students automatically receive the GIST Scholarship, which covers tuition fees, living expenses, and other benefits. The primary language of instruction at GIST is English.

English Language Proficiency Requirement
GIST offers flexibility in submitting an English proficiency test score:
- If selected, applicants must submit their test score later.
- Applicants with a bachelor’s degree from an English-speaking country (Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, UK, or USA) do not need to submit an English test score.
- Other applicants must provide a valid TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, or TEPS score:

- Note: The Korean Immigration Service may require an English or Korean proficiency test score for the visa application.
